Recently, Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee has officially awarded the Investment Registration Certificate to Foxconn Group’s project with an investment of 270 million USD.

General Director of Foxconn Group in Vietnam - Mr. Harry Zhuo said that， as of December 2020, Foxconn has invested in Vietnam 1.5 billion USD; of which the investment in Bac Giang is 900 million USD, creating jobs for more than 35,000 workers. It is expected that in 2021, Foxconn will increase investment by 700 million USD and increase 10,000 new employees. (read more)

What businesses can benefit from the new Investment Law?

The Government decides to grant the special investment incentives to encourage the development of a number of investment projects which have a great impact on socio-economic development, including:

Newly established investment projects (including the expansion of such newly established projects), innovation centers, research and development centers with a total investment of 3,000 billion VND or more, litterally disbursing at least VND 1,000 billion within 03 years from the date of being granted investment registration certificate or investment policy approval; the national innovation centers which are established by a decision of the Prime Minister.

Investment projects in sectors or trades specially given investment incentives with an investment capital of VND 30,000 billion or more, disbursing at least VND 10,000 billion within 3 years from the date of being granted a registration certificate or approval of investment policy.
